Privacy policy
kaogacha is built so that your photo is never stored. This page says what we process when you rate a photo and what we keep.
Your photo
- We never store your photo. It is not written to our server's disk or database.
- The face points are measured on your own device.
- To score your face, we send a downsized copy of the photo to an external AI service provider, including one located in the United States, for the analysis only, and the photo is not stored.
- The glow-up image is made the same way by the external AI. It is sent back to your browser and not stored.
- Location and other photo data (Exif) are removed before the photo is sent.
What we keep
- So the same photo gets the same result, we keep a fingerprint of the photo (a hash) and the AI's answer (scores, feature scores, animal type and reason, apparent age, tips) for 24 hours. We never keep the photo, and the photo cannot be rebuilt from the hash.
- Only when you press share do we keep the result for the share page: scores, tier name, animal type, measurements and gender. Never the photo, your age or your IP address.
- To limit overuse, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address mixed with a value that changes every day, and the number of uses that day. We never keep the IP address itself.
- To check how scores spread, we keep an anonymous log of the numbers only for each rating (face score, feature scores, gender, time to the hour). It holds no photo, no hash, no IP address and no link to a share page.
- For site analytics, we use datafa.st, an outside analytics service. It receives the pages you view, the referring site, your device and browser type, your rough location, and when you finish a scan or press share or the glow-up button. It sets two cookies (datafast_visitor_id, datafast_session_id) to tell visits apart. Your photo and scores are never sent to it.
Age
You must be 13 or older to use kaogacha.
About the results
Results are for fun. They do not measure anyone's worth or appeal.
